Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Operate inspection and rewinding machines according to approved operating procedures.
- Inspect finished or semi-finished materials for defects, damage, contamination, printing errors, dimensions, or other quality issues.
- Set up the machine according to product specifications, including roll width, tension, speed, length, and other required parameters.
- Perform rewinding of rolls while maintaining proper alignment, tension, roll quality, and appearance.
- Identify and segregate defective or non-conforming materials.
- Mark, label, and record rejected or defective products as required.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections during the production process.
- Ensure correct roll length, width, winding direction, core size, and roll appearance.
- Complete production, inspection, wastage, and rejection records accurately.
- Report machine problems, material defects, and quality issues to the supervisor.
- Carry out basic machine cleaning, lubrication, and routine operator-level maintenance.
- Ensure the machine and surrounding work area are clean and organized.
- Follow company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
- Assist with changeovers, roll loading/unloading, and material handling when required.
- Minimize material wastage and maintain efficient machine operation.
- Follow all company policies and instructions from supervisors.
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
