Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Slitting Operator in machine setup, job changeovers, and production runs.
- Load and unload jumbo rolls and finished slit rolls safely.
- Prepare cores, labels, packaging materials, and tools required for production.
- Monitor machine operation and report any abnormalities to the Operator.
- Assist in maintaining product quality by checking roll appearance, width, winding quality, and labeling.
- Ensure proper identification and packing of finished goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping around the machine and work area.
- Support waste segregation and minimize material wastage.
- Follow production schedules and work instructions.
- Comply with all safety, quality, food safety, and company policies.
- Assist in routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance activities.
- Complete production and quality records as instructed.
Qualifications
- High School / Secondary / Diploma / ITI
- Technical or vocational training is an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in flexible packaging, printing, lamination, or slitting operations is preferred.
